UK service interval

Audi Q3 service follows Audi Fixed or Flexible programmes by market, generation (8U / F3 / third gen 2025–), model year, engine code and transmission — there is no single universal Q3 interval. Sportback is a body style; RS Q3 is a performance derivative; F3 45 TFSI e and third-gen e-hybrid are separate PHEV families. MY2027 updates do not invent a new generation matrix. Timing-system type must be resolved from the exact engine code. VIN / handbook remains authoritative.

Intervals are whichever comes first (miles or months) unless noted. They vary by engine, model year, market and service regime. Confirm in the handbook, service booklet or dealer system for your VIN before you book work.

Model years

  • 8U — first generation (2011–2018): PQ35-class compact SUV. Petrol/diesel families, Haldex quattro where fitted. Do not merge 8U checklists into F3/third gen.
  • F3 — second generation (2018–2025): MQB compact SUV / Sportback. Includes RS Q3 / RS Q3 Sportback and Q3 45 TFSI e PHEV. Facelift stages stay inside F3.
  • Third generation (2025–present): Audi confirms third generation launched 2025 (SUV and Sportback; e-hybrid PHEV). MQB Evo-class framing. MY2027 update is a stage — not a fourth generation.
  • MY2027 update stage (production from 2026): Equipment, digital features and package restructuring within the third generation. Log as stage/MY — never invent Gen 4.
  • Sportback / RS Q3 / PHEV: Sportback = body style. RS Q3 / RS Q3 Sportback = performance. 45 TFSI e (F3) vs e-hybrid (third gen) = separate PHEV families.

UK notes

  • Never hardcode one interval or timing claim for every Q3 — market, generation and engine code decide.
  • Fixed/Flexible programmes are manufacturer framing — confirm VIN.
  • Sportback and RS Q3 are not separate generation trees.
  • Do not merge F3 45 TFSI e with third-gen e-hybrid service rows.
  • Intervals are whichever comes first (miles or months) unless noted. Confirm in the handbook, service booklet or dealer system for your VIN before you book work. Legal note: Service intervals and specifications shown are indicative and collected from public or community sources. Official schedules may vary by model year, engine code, market, or dealer updates. Always verify the vehicle handbook (VIN) or consult an authorised dealer before work.

FAQ

How often should you service an Audi Q3?
It depends on market, generation, model year, engine code, transmission and whether the car is on Fixed or Flexible service. Always verify the VIN-specific Audi schedule — there is no single universal Q3 interval.
Does every Q3 have a timing belt?
No. Timing-system design varies by engine code and generation. Record the engine code and any belt/chain invoices before associating a theme with a vehicle.
Is the MY2027 update a new generation?
No. Audi’s 2026 update for the 2027 model year is an equipment/technology stage of the third generation launched in 2025 — not a fourth generation.
How do I prove service history for a Q3?
Log generation (8U / F3 / third gen), body style, PHEV/performance identity, engine code, transmission, drive type, dates, mileage, invoices, inspections and recalls — a stamp book alone is incomplete.
