UK service interval

The Ioniq 5 is not on Hyundai’s 12-month / 10,000-mile EV plan used by older EVs. Official Hyundai service-schedule material lists Ioniq 5 (and Ioniq 6) on a 2-year / 20,000-mile EV service.

Intervals are whichever comes first (miles or months) unless noted. They vary by engine, model year, market and service regime. Confirm in the handbook, service booklet or dealer system for your VIN before you book work.

Extra jobs buyers look for

  • Other Hyundai EVs (MY20 onwards, excluding Ioniq 5/6, 2024 Kona EV, Inster)

    12 months / 10,000 miles

Do not copy this onto an Ioniq 5 — Hyundai’s PDF excludes Ioniq 5 from that table.

  • US Ioniq 5 reminders

Often 5,000–7,500 miles in the cluster

US cluster/BlueLink values are not the UK warranty schedule.

Model years

  • 2021–present: UK cars: 24 months or 20,000 miles for the scheduled EV inspection.

UK notes

  • Hyundai UK roadside assistance (SARA) on Ioniq 5 follows the two-year service cycle, not the 12-month ICE pattern.
  • Some printed service books still showed 10,000 miles — dealer systems and the later PDF are the 24/20k schedule. Keep invoices.
  • EVs still need brake fluid, 12V battery, cabin filter, coolant and tyre work — log those even between the 24-month visits.

FAQ

How often should you service a Hyundai Ioniq 5 in the UK?
Official schedule: every 24 months or 20,000 miles, whichever comes first. An extra 12-month health check is optional, not the warranty interval.
Why does my cluster say 10,000 miles?
Reminders can be coded differently from the UK service plan. Trust the dealer schedule / PDF and reset after a real inspection.
